I support companies in the power, industrial and infrastructure sectors with decisions that demand both technical knowledge and business understanding.
From business plans and strategy with an implementation roadmap, through market analyses and sales-funnel management, to process mapping and optimisation (including ISO-based integrated management systems) and project and contract risk management.
Five areas of competence — each concluded with a concrete deliverable: a report, an implementation plan, a model, a tool (including interactive ones), or a trained team.
I translate strategic goals into operational reality and support decisions on entering new market areas.
Management systems from a practitioner’s perspective — experience as Integrated Management System Officer in listed companies.
The foundation of my experience: power switchgear — from design to certification.
Running R&D projects — with experience on both the contractor and client side.
Data analysis combined with hands-on knowledge of the construction, industrial and infrastructure markets.
PDI CONVERSA — Sebastian Klaczyński is an engineering and business consultancy run since 2014 by a manager and engineer with over 25 years of experience in the Polish power, industrial and infrastructure sectors.
My career has spanned the manufacture and development of medium- and high-voltage switchgear, R&D project management, equipment type testing and certification, infrastructure construction, and process modelling and optimisation within organisations. I have worked on the side of contractors, certification bodies and company boards — which is why I understand the perspective of the investor, the contractor and the auditor.
PDI CONVERSA was founded on the conviction that the most valuable advisory work combines hard engineering knowledge, management practice and the ability to translate strategy into a workable plan. I don’t deliver presentations that end up in a drawer — I deliver solutions, tools and documents the client can work with immediately, shaping the output to their own scenarios.
Interactive tools I build for clients — the model recalculates live, and the viewer can see for themselves how changing an assumption affects the result. Below are three examples with data altered for presentation purposes.
An interactive break-even model for a production plant — eight parameters, four live-calculated metrics, a BEP chart and a comparison against the market forecast.
Open the modelA budgeting and funnel tool built on a database of investment leads — lead scoring and classification, conversion, expected revenue, and a comparison of the top-down plan against the bottom-up view.
Open the modelAn economics model for a continuous chemical process — CAPEX, OPEX, EBITDA and NPV as a function of throughput, using the “six-tenths” power rule and three thresholds: profitability, investment viability and the regulatory requirement.
Open the modelFour principles that apply to every engagement — regardless of its scale.
From a one-off expert opinion or the development of a management tool, through a project with a defined deliverable, to a medium- or long-term role within the client’s organisation — as IMS officer, implementation expert, or engineer supporting contract delivery.
Every engagement ends with a product: a report with recommendations, an implementation plan, a financial model, an analytical tool, or a trained team — together with support to help reach the agreed goal.
I work with sensitive strategic and technical data — always under strict confidentiality. Having no ties to technology suppliers guarantees objectivity.
I deliver projects, analyses and documentation in both languages — including foreign-market analyses and technical documentation.
